GOOD NEWS: Just replaced the W510’s keyboard with a new one from Lenovo and am pleased to announce that whatever flex and noise the previous keyboard had is now gone. I can attest that the new keyboard is as sturdy as my T61p's

is there right palmrest creek for this laptop??? i have a t510 and it has a slight creek on the right side of the palmrest near the latch area on the palmrest. supposdly the w510 has the same chasis...

Nope, there's no creak when i press against the palm rest for both the righ and left side. There is some minor flex on the right side when I force the flex with more pressure than I would ever intentially use.

I’m satisfied with the computer. I was disappointed that I had to request a new keyboard from Lenovo. The problems associated with the keyboard have been so widely discussed in the public that Lenovo should have sent out the laptop with the updated keyboard.
Screen is excellent, rock sold, battery life is lacking and it’s a bit heavy. Probably my next computer will be smaller/lighter.
Nevertheless I would recommend the laptop.
