In this video I will show you how to use a bleach pen and create your own artwork on a t-shirt. It was really fun and turned out great. It was so easy to do, so just watch this video and then start creating your works of art. Have fun and let your creative juices flow. :)
Good Luck,
Jenny

  • Quick question, have you found any differences in how well different shirts bleach? Like the percent cotton, brands, etc. I'm planning on doing a fundraiser soon with ideas like this, so any info would be awesome!

  • @savvypanther

I have found that some colors don't bleach well. Like navy blue. It turns pink. Shirts with high percentages of polyester don't bleach as fast. Hope that helps.

  • Dear Eclasuion:

You could try it that way but I can't tell you what your results would be. The bleach pen is a gel that doesn't run as much which helps. IF you try your method, definitely put something waterproof between the shirt front and back. Let me know what you find!

  • Anywhere you find laundry soap. It is made by clorox. I got a double sided one that has fat on one end and skinny on the other. You need the skinny side.

  • very very pretty. Thanks for your ideas....I just painted shoes for my granddaughters....Hello Kitty on one and butterflies/dragonflies on the other!

  • @katyraeh Thanks so much for watching. Good job on making them your own. I'm glad to here that you liked the shoe videos; I have painted shoes for all my daughters, some of my nieces, and friends/classmates. It has been really fun coming up with new ideas to paint. Take care, Jenny

  • I am going to try to answer several of your questions here:

    1. No the bleach doesn't run when you rinse the shirt. It dries a little actually.

    2. I would not recommend using liquid bleach. It would just run or soak in and not stay where you want it.

    3. I don't know if you would get the same result just by bleaching through the stencil. I don't always use a stencil so I draw the artwork on with chalk first.

    Have fun!

    Jenny

  • Oh Jenny the things you can do ;D

  • Can you just put the stencil on the shirt and take a sponge with bleach and dab onto the stencil with the shirt?

  • jenny did this loved it added bling! have searched but cannot find wall stencil similar to yours, help :) thx.

  • if the bleach just sits on top of the shirt, doesnt really "stain", and just washes off after i put it in warm water do i just need to buy a new pen? could it just be too old?
