ArchBang Bootcamp Part 6: Guake Yaourt & SLiM

This video concludes building the BASE system.

ArchBang Linux is a lightweight distribution based on Arch Linux. Using the Openbox window manager, it is fast, up-to-date and suitable for both desktop and portable systems. In this series I will show you how to install and convert this into a full Arch Linux system.

I will not be adding links to the shownotes in this series as everything you will need to know is answered in the Arch WIKI. If you wish to commit to Arch you MUST make good use of the documentation.

when doing pacman -Sy yaourt after doing nano /etc/pacman.conf i get warning: database file for 'archlinuxfr does not exist

@edwardd06 you need to add archlinuxfr to pacman.conf if you search for yaourt in the archwiki you will see the link on that page pointing you to instructions on adding that line.

@LinuxSpatry i added [archlinuxfr] like you did and the other line at the end and get the error, i control x and saved it and followed your instructions on the video as you did them

@edwardd06 without knowing what the specific problem is I did a google search without quotes "warning: database file for 'archlinuxfr does not exist" and found lots of answers. Not sure which one to pick...

@pfindan I had a crazy day, so I am gonna take a nap and then make another episode for it later.... i had a request to do compiz as a standalone so I will demonstrate how to do that
