Saturday's Oval Night race held at TMS produced a race full of surprises. Pole sitter RMilat lead the field until the first round of green flag pitstops, when he missed his braking point and spun into the pit lane. Ronnie got a black flag for speeding on pit row, which put him at the back, plus the damage he received.
On the restart, the field once again got competitive with many position changes.
The biggest wreck of the night involved SnakeOil, who got caught in a pinch (warp) with the back end of LanceMofoKnoop. Both cars exited the race in dramatic fashion, SnakeOil riding the catch fencing for most of his trip.
This brought out the yellow, and after pitstops, Bigarv65 mistimed the green and was quickly passed by Dietpepsi. A long green flag run led to normal pitstops among the leaders, but Escuba1 got a black flag for a technical infraction which took him out of the lead.
A quick pitstop and some luck put Bigarv in the lead with a few dozen laps left. But ultimately Bigarv cut it too close on fuel and after taking the white flag his engine sputtered and stopped. Coasting around the track, an unexpected assist from RMilat came in the way of some bumping from behind. Though not quick enough to keep the lead, he still came in 3rd, behind DietPepsi in 2nd, and Escuba1 in 1st place.
Congratulations to all the drivers for a very clean and hard fought race, and to the dominant Escuba1 for a great race win.
PS: Thanks Ronnie, I won't forget!
There's no in game commentary to use for the video. Just racing motors and squealing tires, etc. I need a better mike and I might try it again. I'm almost done with driver/race status overlays which should at least make the action a little less confusing.
BTW, the game is Sierra's Nascar Racing 2003, using the Open Wheel Racing 07 modification. Races are online. Drivers from Canada, Mexico, and the US participate.

I agree, I'd like to spend more time on them. I need someone with a good announcer voice to do commentary...
