Traditional surveys measure only what a population thinks. This top of the head opinions are not necessarily based on a real understanding of the issues and tradeoffs. Deliberative Polls reveal what the whole population of an organization would think if they were thinking. The Deliberative Corporation process reveals what insights an entire organization would have about the results of the Deliberative Poll. It's a process that lets the entire company digitally entertain the same text just as easily and elegantly as someone can write in the margin of a book while reading it. The entire company can get on the same page and comment on the results of the Deliberative Poll and suggest alternative ways of solving the same problems. A second Deliberative Poll can then be used as different questions based on all the ideas gathered from diverse ways of thinking about the problem. The solutions the result from this process are more likely to be resilient solutions because they reflect the full collective intelligence of the organization.
I just have a question: Where can a regular person like me find these Deliberative polls? Is it accessible online or would I have to seek resources from a higher authority? I ask this because I'm interested in finding out more about the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) which is blowing up in all the social media sites. Like the majority of people I associate with, none of us agree with SOPA but I want to learn more about the act before stating my opinion. Thanks!
