@EnglishHuscarl uggh there are soo many interesting monarchs to make movies about but it seems everybody is stuck on Henry VIII....I mean, I love that era as much as everyone..but there are so many other fascinating stories that haven't even been touched :(

@ustgagchvirus I get what you mean. During the first two seasons, I just skipped them altogether. But Season 3 is definitely more mild.

I agree that Jonathan Rhys Meyers is tons better looking than Henry was. However, in history, it has been said that Henry VIII was actually quite handsome as a young prince. It could be that the definition of handsome has changed in the past 500 years. Nevertheless, many historical accounts describe young Henry to be good looking. And the show probably needed a Henry that fits the 21st century impression of "handsome."
