August 27, 2008 -- Citizen Kate gets an exclusive DNC interview with Ralph Nader, and finds out the key to independent presidential success -- Alternative Media.

On the third day of the Democratic National Convention, I had the interview that none of the other major media was capturing. I met up with Ralph Nader moments before his big speech.

He informed me that the Democratic Party and the Republicans are selling out America. I like sales, but would rather pay full price for quality goods. And corporations are really buying government.

I also discovered that alternative media (like me) plays a key role in helping any presidential nominee. Especially the independent guys.

I guess I should really think about who I vote for.

Note to self: Presidential candidates and politicians needs Alternative Media too.

  • @Nationstatesuser Most of his protections were repealed by Republican legislation and many of his organizations were dissolved by former believers who couldn't stomach his Don Quixote presidential campaigns and his disingenuous 'both parties are exactly the same' dogma. Once a crusader who became addicted to the sound of his own voice, ultimately to the detriment of his own legacy.

  • @RollingOrmond He ran for President 3 times, formed the Center for Study of Responsive Law, helped enact more legal protections for consumers against big corporations, has written many books on the subjects of politics and reform, and has been an outspoken voice against the corporately-run sham of a duopoly that we call a "democracy". How is that "[not] actually [involving] himself in changing anything", exactly?

  • Nader's the gadfly who won't actually involve himself in changing anything, just saying how crappy everything is. What good is that?

  • @gorgorybmus It probably is

  • @6of6 I wonder if it was deliberate and meant to patronize...

  • CitizenKate is distractingly cute.

  • mpjr- I agree completely! Let Nader debate!

  • That was cute. And a hug from Ralph..lucky!

    Nader/Gonzalez 2008!

  • Peace, Hugs, Justice and the American way. Vote Super Ralph.

  • I heart Nader
