Ghost Town

This was meant to be a spectacular vid about Enniscorthy in Co Wexford but instead it turned out to be a vid showing various shops and various businesses that have or are going to close down in the town centre due to the 'Slow down in the economy'.... recession (Some have been closed down long before the 'slow down in the economy'!) Hope the Enniscorthy Town Council take note of what is happening here in our town, we need to fill these empty shops and not with products we dont need, but somthing we do need, who has got the initiative to grab Father Murphy by the BALLS and do something about our town which is dieing on its 2 feet. the next think u know, you will hear adverts for Christmas shopping in Enniscorthy but why should we when we dont have the choice that people of today crave for. The Celtic tiger never showed its industrious face in Enniscorthy, Enniscorthy never showed its face to the Celtic tiger....whos fault is that ?

This vid is staying on youtube until something positive happens to these shops and especially Murphy Floods site, its a DISGRACE.

ENNISCORTHY DOESN'T LOOK GOOD FROM A TOURIST POINT OF VIEW, THEY MAY EVEN CEASE VISITING HERE SO ITS TO PRAY THEY DON'T TYPE IN 'ENNISCORTHY' IN THE 'SEARCH VIDEOS' TAB COS IT JUST COMES UP AS GHOST TOWN !!

an update 2 years on........ Murphy Floods hotel is a carpark for 30 cars or so, Wickams will be opening before Christmas, Shop and Deli is closed down, Club Kavanaghs is up for rent (nightclub and restaurant), The old Dunnes stores building is still vacant, there are now a couple of Polish shops after opening...... long live the Sklep....... The castle museum is closed although it was due to open this year (Mythen Construction are now renovating it)

Liam power was the best thing that ever happened to enniscorthy and yas all wouldn't stop till he was banished.since he left enniscorthy the town has dropped in my book.Bring back Liam power and give him a job in tescos and things will improve!!

Its going to be interesting to see what happens to the town now that Dan Kickham has got planning permission to build a shopping centre at Blackstoops.

The small retailers in this town only have themselves to blame, they have been ripping us off for years!! Bring on the development in Blackstoops, i say! An arts centre in the Atheneum would be great but the powers that be just dont care, they just want their money!

i only stayed in enniscorthy during the week in the gorgeos treacies hotel i saw virually no empty shops and thought it was the best place i ever stayed in the only problems were ther was to much traffic and i couldnt keep my window open because of the people shoutin in the streets on a tuesday night at nearly 3 in the morning and this video only slightly looks like what i saw on the 20th october 2009 but it is no ghost town and im planning to move there after my visit ps. deadly song
