  • You are correct, 1pspguru1, that Dr. Who is important, and did preceed Star Trek by three years. The earliest episodes of Dr. Who were intended to be educational as much as entertainment, and there was an emphasis on teaching history. The show's timetravel format was perfect for that task; however, it is also a perfect one for providing almost unlimited plots, helping Dr. Who become the longest running science fiction story on the small screen. Good acting and scripts have kept it there.

  • i like your video. but i have to say, the music is overpowering the speech in some parts, you might want to work on that.

  • this video does not mention of the real first sci fi on tv DOCTOR who which stated in 1963 making it both the first sci fi show and the longest running nothing can beat dr who at the time line
