The 1/2" drive drills will start most anything.

If you manage to hurt yourself doing this then you shouldn't own a drill or a generator.

@ghettohillbilly1 think about that nut on the fan blade, when that engine starts its going to kick on the drill, and eventually it will loosen it, if that nut comes off at full revs, its likely to drop onto the fan blade, and where it goes after that is anyones guess. luckily for me when it happened to me the nut only sunk itself into a wall. losing an eye, or injuring an onlooker (when its preventable) isnt idiot tax, its just idiotic!
maybe itll just hit you in the nuts, darwin award? jk ;)

That generator should start in 1-3 pulls if you cover the air intake on the front with your hand, and remove then block off the high speed needle. They run lean out of the box, and the choke isn't terribly effective.

@ericspda yeah i tried the blocking trick, and the gas rag trick, its just a pain in the ass lol drill is easier than pillin anyday

seems like it makes your life easier.. but i promise you this is a bad idea... there are a number of ways you can hurt yourself or others around when you do this..
