  • @Thegus0 And The Economist and the Guardian are full of shit when they call Samsung the model company of the future?

And your IMF point? All of Asia's economic collapsed in that period. And take a look at the Eurozone. I think somethings happening over there....

  • @Thegus0 jesus christ ur still coming back for more? bloody troll. learn some effing facts and back up ur crap with some evidence. When Barack Obama visited Korea and hailed the education system has a world leader he was just huffing paint right? And wait a minute......40% of the iPod and iPad use Samsung technology. Must be awkward now eh? Its the largest electronic company....so it caters to the developed and devloping world u ignorant runt.

  • @Thegus0 For some odd reason Koreans have done better in the men's world cup.

  • @Thegus0 The Fifa ranking isn't all that reliable in judging how strong a soccer team is. SK team has consistently showed stronger or better showing in Worldcup and U-19 and U17 than Japan. And overall record between Korea vs. Japan, Korea has won far more games against Japan than lost. 2002 WC had many questionable calls. SK wasn't the only one who benefitted. And Guus Hiddink proved he's no fluke. Women's FIFA is a different story. Apple's and Orange.

  • @redwhitedude stronger than Japan in soccer? I don't think so. Look at FIFA ranking today Japan 17th, Korea 31st. Japan have been crowned record 4 times as Asian Champions in the last 6 competitions while the best Korea has done in the last 20 years is 3rd place. The only time Korea was strong in Asia as a soccer nation was in 1956-1960. they did well in the 2002 WC, but Italy/Spain/Portugal suspect cheating by Koreans.

Japan also just won the Womens FIFA Wold cup.

  • @Thegus0 They are stronger than Japan in soccer. Weaker than Japan in Baseball but the gap has narrowed.

Mainland China lags behind Korea. It is still a relatively poor country. Taiwan is by far better than mainland china.

  • @chewii101 China is a very late comer right now they have a mess to clean up which is their soccer league.

  • @Thegus0 Samsung may not have good history of innovation but that is because they came late. Latecomers have to copy legally then surge ahead once they get the hang of it. Samsung is actually making inroads in the US just look at their market share in cellphones. Koreans may agree that the education is not the most efficient.

  • @chewii101 Samsung that is being sued by Apple and losing in 4 countries already for fake copies of the iPhone and iPad? lol Samsung is good at catering to poor countries like India and Vietnam. well done. Koreans work the most hours but get paid a fraction of the rest of the developed world. Hope your "great education system" is going to make Korea a better country because the economy is shit, currency is worth shit, and about to default again after being bailed out by the IMF once already.
