  • @drewske1984 I couldn't agree more !

  • skip to 3:41 for the start of the crash scene

  • @rickardo004 No. The film very closely depicts what actually happened in the crash. It was an airborne sled, basically. So it slid down the mountain just as you see.

  • @ShannonDWaltrip I meant I've read those books as well as articles. I think they are modern-day heroes for what they endured and for how they escaped.

  • @kowtpr187 No, I read several books--Piers Paul Read's and Nando Parrado's. There was no village near them. You may be thinking of a closed-for-the-winter restaurant. It was boarded up, and it was a ways from them. It's sad because canned food was stored there. They had no idea where they were, true, but they were surrounded by the second largest mountain range in the world, in the most frigid and inhuman conditions imaginable. They had no climbing or survival equipment, but they were brave.

  • @FGaribay7 How are Uruguayans supposed to look?

  • I remember first watching this movie when i was like 10 years old and the plane crash scene gave me nightmares. To this day, the plane crash scene still holds up as it did to me 17 years ago. One of the best, scariest tragic scenes in movie history!

  • @FGaribay7 Because Uruguayans are mostly European descendent's (about 90%).

  • I like how these players are supposed to be from uraguay but yet they look all white lol
