A video slideshow of all the work done in the restoration of my dad's 1968 Dodge Charger that my grandfather ordered and bought brand new in October, 1967. This is not nearly all the pics, but, they are the best ones. Well, enjoy.

1968 Dodge Charger R/T
440ci V8
- stock bore, 1967 engine, with stock 10.5:1 flat tops
- block decked, heads shaved
- Edelbrock Performer RPM Heads
- Torquer II High Rise Intake
- Hughes Racing .547 lift, .242 split duration camshaft
- Doug's Headers/ 2" primary into 3.5" collector
- 3" exhaust with X-Pipe exitiing via Flowmaster 40
727 Torqueflite Auto
- Hemi internals/shift kit

  • @Gulli1000 Thanks! And, yes, everything pretty much has been redone. The seat frames are original, but, the covers/foams are new.

  • Man, this car is my dream car. My dad had one... as his first car... that lucky bastard. It was a 1968 dodge charger r/t with a hemi. He sold it to pay for his college education =(. He told me he has his regrets but he is happy with his job =P. He told me that a couple weeks after he sold it, the engine overheated when the new owner was dricing down to the beach, and was offcialy trash, at that time lol.

  • haha...yeah, my dad's had a few in the past. But, this one has been his constant. It was also his first car...my grandfather bought it new, then, after about 10 years of ownership, my dad was in HS, so, he gave it to him...lol Thanks for the compliments, and, hope you get yourself one someday. I tell you, looks everywhere you go...haha

  • nice job seen the sheet metal work looks good going thew that on a firebird , like the headers was thinking of geting the DTd have problems with the hookers 1 sits 2 low where the DTs worth the money anyway love your CHARGER!!! ps do the 2 dog get 2 go 4 rides
