Meet Freddie. He loves yogurt and sunbaths in winter. He likes a shady spot in summer. He likes to roll in the grass and is learning to fetch a toy. He likes to go on long walks and he stays close, even off leash. He is healthy now. Just 2 years old (03/2011), he has gained much needed weight and clocks in at a good 53 lbs. His fur is soft and golden and he has a black nose. His ears fold down and are a darker shade of tan. Regal and so proud of himself, he is a handsome dog.

Freddie is great with people. At first a little wary, he is quick to warm up and make friends. He would do best in a calm household with no young children, though, as he is not comfortable with unpredictable quick movements in his direction, and he is sensitive to loud noises. He is easy with other dogs and would probably enjoy a relaxed dog buddy to play with. He has shown more and more of a tendency to chase the cat at his foster home, however, so he would probably do best in a home with no cats to annoy.

It is quite likely that Freddie will always have to be on medication for the prevention of demodectic mange. This isn't a contagious condition to people or other animals, and the medicine is easy to administer with his food. A high quality diet is essential to maintain his healthy skin, and although he loves the outdoors, his time outside should be monitored to avoid any temperature extremes, especially in the summer.

Freddie is a great dog, a real sweetheart, gentle and funny. He would be a good and loyal companion to an attentive and affectionate adult family or individual. If Freddie's story has moved you and you believe you can give him a happy life in the comfort of your home, then don't hesitate to make your inquiry about him. He may just be the one for you. He is waiting and he will love you very well in return!

Freddie''s adoption fee is $150.00. If you are interested in adopting Freddie, please contact us at: (832) 265-6523 or CorridorRescue@gmail.com or visit our website to download an adoption application at: www.CorridorRescue.org and email or mail it back to us.
