Nah, not too many Americans and Brits were into Gantz when it released. Making an English version would take time and money and hardly anyone would buy it. It's a shame, I wish they would remake it in english for PS3 on a Blu Ray disc and follow the manga.

I fucking love Gantz. My friend thought it was too violent, if not sinful to watch the manga. The sex scenes are, yes, graphic, but to a point, I think that Gantz portrays the best of the everyday world.

@ncshuriken Gantz 2014? omikron made heavy rain... interesting. right now i think games are at a lull point. im just waiting for omnitreadmill and in 10 graphics being 16 times more clearer than 1080p (they already have one camera in the world like that).

HELL yes man! PS move katana showdowns with the devils kimone (or whatever they're called), like that guy made of stone! Well there was dating in Yakuza 4 (only played the demo), so maybe it could work. But yea in Omikron (from the makers of Heavy Rain), if you died, I think your soul leaves the body, and you can go find another person to become. Everyone had different stats/abilities. It was a great game, but VERY flawed. I never got to play Shenmue! Gantz 2014 FTW

@ncshuriken yeah like at the start of the mission, could make it in the game theres always someone that manages to get intel on the gantz, or basically you get to watch the aliens movements before you fight them. dreamcast had such unique games like shenmue; if only it lasted. yeah would be set in tokyo; realistic city replica. and some countryside/coast too. so infinite characters in omnikron? dating is a big part of kei kurono the player. but could scrap that. ninja scroll rpg w/ps move=heaven

Yea I guess if I was gonna be completely honest, the game does seem kinda whack, but hey, atleast it has low gravity bouncing breasts HAHA. I used to dream about getting hold of this game when I 1st found out about it though.

Any japanese game company would fit the bill if you ask me. Konami, Capcom, Atlus, Namco, Cave, whatever. ZOE was made by Konami, and that had an anime rendition, but the game came first in this case.

So its not based on the manga then? Is the ending all fucked up like in the anime, where they completely hijack the story and turn it into some bullshit cat & mouse hostage situation in an abandoned hotel? I dont know though. If I had a games company, I'd make something like Ninja Scroll, but it'd be a faithful RPG/Ninja simulation game, and the 1st half would lead up to the events of the movie. Its not impossible to make a good anime/manga cash in.

Yea man, I'll play that! You better stick your word bro, I'm not joking! Forget the dating sim aspect though, but everything else is right up my street! The whole of Tokyo (or wherever its set) can eventually be explored. Also it shouldn't just be all mindless carnage. You go in all guns blazing, you die, simple as that. You have to come up with strategies, tactics. It should be like Omikron, when you die, you take on the role of another character, over and over.

I'm surprised some1 hasn't started working on a GANTZ fan-game using UDK yet *HINT* *HINT*

I dont know about the ME engine (the base Unreal Engine [which ME is based on] would be better suited IMO, for the carnage, or Cryengine 4), but I've had my fingers crossed for a new, international release GANTZ game for fucking years!
The entire Gantz storyline lent itself soooo well to videogames... the invisible barrier, the PDA radar system, hunting aliens with big future guns, not to mention the whole mission-based structure...
So how the hell did they screw it up and come out with this piece of shit game?
I think a Gantz game, made by Bioware, using the Mass Effect 2 engine, complete with a branching storyline, and permanent character deaths would be amazing! but of course... that'd never happen :-(

I agree. But precisely because of that, I'm happy even with the scraps here.
