watch Learn Greek : lesson 1 on youtube its the only one correct for modern greek

The diphthongs were pronunced correctly for Classical Greek, but some vowels and consonants werent.

β, γ, δ, η, υ, χ , ψ were all pronunced the wrong way!!as for the diphthongs they were ALL pronounced in the erasmian way so NO Greek could ever understand what youre talking about if he heard you pronuncing them the way you did!!

Please note: to those who've left comments - this is not how to pronounce Modern Greek! It's ONE of the ways (following the Renaissance scholar Erasmus) of pronouncing ancient Greek, and is the most common among classical and NT students (as it's the simplest to master). No-one truly knows how the Greeks pronounced their language 2000 years ago anyway...
