another way the church gets its way, religion should not have any say in the law unfortunately the majority of people in this country are religious and do not think of how their opinions affect others, denying people the same rights just because of who they love is wrong and shows how much hold on the government the church has.

  • You say that you want gay marriage to be taught in sex ed. Say that a state has opt out laws. Do you think the parents and student should have THEIR rights respected, regardless of their reason for objecting? Some states have opt out laws already, but people are being denied that right. Schools have said that homosexuality is not an opt out issue, although the opt out policy is for discussions of sexuality. That includes homoSEXUALITY, doesn't it?

  • I believe parents should have a right to take THEIR kids out but not stop everyone else from learning about it, if you dont want your kids learning about homosexuality the fine you should have a right to opt out I agree with that but you should not try and stop any other kids from learning about it than your own. Sadly this is as bad as religion in schools I dont want to teach my daughter about religion until she is old enough to make a decision herself on what she wants but it is there in class

  • That is such a lie i like to see that petition they wanted you to sign!no one is taking anyones freedom away everyone can live and love who they want! your asking to change the meaning of a marriage license which stands for male and female marriage why would gay people want the same when the domestic partner laws give them the same rights and as for religion you can not change scripture and all people sin in one way or another it is personal between you and God.

  • I didnt ask for a copy of the petition it was about 5 years ago, as for having the same rights they do not hold the same weight as a straight marriage because people do not consider same sex partners actual family and that can be used to stop them in certain situations like hospital visits can be denied if the hospital does not want to recognize the union.

  • You really make some good points honey. I'm so proud of you! I love you so much!

  • thank you dear

  • You are a hundred percent right. I wish everyone had the same views.

  • This is so right. Everyone, regardless of gender and sexual orientation, deserves to get married.

  • Great vid.. Thank you for the comment on mine... Hope that the fact that Prop 8 is under review will bring some change. We just have to stay hopeful and positive in the meantime.

  • thank you :)
