New tech is always quite expensive. Just think about how much DVD burners were when they first came out - now you can pick one up for thirty bucks.

they're essentially tiny LEDs, and light themselves. OLEDs use less power than LCD displays too, which is a bonus.
I don't doubt it, but you have to say that's a big oversight though.

What i have read about it you dont need any backlight the "pixels" or what to call it lights themself up somehow

Over 2 grand and has no backlight
Haha the 11" version that is available on sony's website costs 2,500 dollars.
