so u got the Drum kit from Cakewalk right? im new to Midi and im getting the MPD18 and wandering if itll all work with Sonar 8 and PX-7 and the Pads. tell me wat ya think! thanks
These things are sweet but for 1/4 the price you can pick up a Padkontrol which has very good pads, more features, and only a few less pads than this. It doesn't even have USB. The zap should be $400 not $1k
@rhadiem Yeah, the Padkontrol would be my choice for sensitivity after the Zendrum. The Zendrum definitely has some limitations (such as no usb), but it is upgradeable. I'm guessing usb will be available sometime through a board revision. There's already been one board revision that brought new features... As a percussionist, the extra sensitivity beyond even what the Padkontrol offers is worth it to me. The Zendrum is definitely not for everyone, but then neither is a Les Paul Supreme... :)
