Well, he did achieve the hero status amongst the muslims - so did Hizbollah - Olmert's popularity plummetted - Israel'i army's invincibility myth was broken and heavily since they only faced a small guerrilla group - and Lebanon was saved from US interference - and the prisoner-exchange ... I think he achieved a lot actually.
