They usually eat the blood worms right away, then feed on the tetra bits later during the day. Discus are an all day grinders, I feed them around 9am and then later around 4pm or 5pm. My discus always finishes up their tetra bits by the time I feed them at 4pm. If you see your discus leave some tetra bits behind give them less next time around and figure out how much you discus can eat.
It depends how much they eat, some discus are big eaters and some are not big eaters. My big Blue discus is a big eater then the others, he eats all day long and never seems to be full. I give him a cube of blood worms, and a tea spoon of tetra color bits 2 times a day (In a day he can eat 2 cubes of blood worms, and 2 teaspoon of tetra color bits)
Change the water every 3 days and feed the discus 3 times a day either frozen blood worms or Tetra Color Tropical Granules with the temp at around 86F-88F It will get bigger within a month or two! =o)
