  • Best swerve was on submission round 3 where Eric made the comparisons between Jeff Hardy and Michael Jackson. It looked like he was going to blackball MJ but ended up doing it to Jeff Hardy lol. But seriously, I thought one of the best swerves was Brian Pillmans heel turn on his first night in ECW. One minute they worshipped him like a god and 5 minutes later they were ready to kill him, great stuff.

  • @RedTurtleRanger10 Yes, agreed, and notice that Pillman got HEAT, like a heel is supposed to. He didn't get cheers & laughter like a lot of heels have done since & still do.

  • One of the best I've ever seen was Arn Anderson turning on Dustin Rhodes at Bash at the Beach 94. Dustin wrestles the whole match and finally gets the tag after being beat on and Arn gives him a slick DDT, even though the WCW camera crew managed to fuck up the shot...

  • @Cdubya Seconded, that was awesome, heh. How did they fuck it up though(the production), I remember seeing it fine on VHS at least.

  • @WrestlingRoundtable

Heh, I have the actual event on my laptop, the minute Arn tags in they go to a shot of Meng on the outside trying to console Col Parker, by the time they cut to the ring Dustin is down and Arn is on the outside taunting the fans.

  • @Cdubya Maybe they corrected it on the VHS and that was the live PPV? I dunno, either that or I'm just misremembering it because it's been years since I watched it but I remember it being seen clearly as it happened.

  • Immortal formation in TNA

  • Bret Hart joining NWO was idiotic. If there was a time for Bret to join NWO, it was late '97/early '98 when he initially joined WCW and was coming off of the Montreal Screw Job where nobody knew what direction he would go. by 2000, the NWO itself had more than run it's course

Curt Hennig joining the NWO didn't make a damn lick of sense. Him being someone who would turn their back on tradition (especially after the AA ceremony on Nitro) didn't ring at all. Everyone DIDN'T need to join the NWO!

  • Stephanie's swerve to join HHH in 1999/2000 was GREAT. From HHH ruining the Test/Steph wedding by showing a video of a passed out Steph and him getting married, to Steph's evil ass grin a few weeks later in the ring on RAW revealing that she and HHH had been in on it all the time and wanted to boot out big daddy Vince and take over the company...great stuff

HHH's swerve on HBK in July 2002 when everyone thought they would reunite DX was great--and touched off an epic feud

  • @WrestlingRoundtable Even though you saw it coming Flair turning on Sting in 1995 to reform the Horsemen. Awesome stuff.

  • I thought Curt Hennig joining NWO was a great swerve which I didnt see coming and they pulled it off really well. A much worse NWO swerve for me was Dusty Rhodes joining! It just didnt work at all for me, even though Schiavone sold it brilliantly with his stunned walkout. Nobody wants to boo the American Dream!

  • Tyson joining DX and then swerving them at Mania to join with Austin

  • SHANE AT SERIES 1998?...YOUR THOUGHTS?...

  • Lets hope Roundtable gets the success it deserves in 2012! :)
