Kobe (神戸市 Kōbe-shi?) is the sixth-largest city in Japan and is the capital city of Hyōgo Prefecture on the southern side of the main island of Honshū, approximately 500 km (310.69 mi) west of Tokyo. Kobe is a prominent port city with a population of about 1.5 million. The city is located in the Kansai region of Japan and is part of the Keihanshin (京阪神 Keihanshin?) metropolitan area along with Osaka and Kyoto. Keihanshin in turn is part of the Taiheiyō Belt, a megalopolis.

Kobe was one of the cities to open for trade with the West following the end of the policy of seclusion and has since been known as a cosmopolitan port city. While the 1995 Great Hanshin Earthquake diminished much of Kobe's prominence as a port city, it remains Japan's fourth busiest container port.[6] Companies headquartered in Kobe include ASICS, Kawasaki Heavy Industries, and Kobe Steel, as well as over 100 international corporations with Asia or Japan headquarters in the city such as Procter & Gamble, Boehringer-Ingelheim and Nestlé.[7][8] The city is the point of origin and namesake of Kobe beef as well as the site of one of Japan's most famous hot spring resorts, Arima Onsen.

The Sumaura Ropeway (須磨浦ロープウェイ Sumaura Rōpuwei?) is Japanese aerial lift line in Kōbe, Hyōgo, operated by the Sanyō Electric Railway. Opened in 1957, the line climbs Mount Hachibuse of the Suma coast. At the summit, there is a transfer to the Carlator (カーレーター Kārētā?), a sort of escalator with baskets.

The blue hour comes from the French expression l'heure bleue, which refers to the period of twilight each morning and evening where there is neither full daylight nor complete darkness. The time is considered special because of the quality of the light at this time of day.

Hasta el 2008, la ciudad contaba con una población de 1.529.116 habitantes y una densidad de 2.755,77 habitantes por km² . Kobe posee una superficie de 549.38 km². Alrededor del 13% de la población es menor de 14 años, el 67% son personas entre 15 y 64 y el veinte por ciento son mayores de 65 años.

須磨浦山上遊園（すまうらさんじょうゆうえん）は兵庫県神戸市須磨区の鉢伏山と旗振山の山頂一帯に広がる須磨浦公園内の植物園・遊園地を含む緑ゆたかな公園である。195­9年に開園した。
山陽電鉄 須磨浦公園駅に直結する須磨浦ロープウェイとカーレーター（勾配25度のゴンドラ）を乗り継ぐと山頂エリアに着く。山頂エリアには須磨海岸～紀淡海峡から六甲山地まで36­0度のパノラマを楽しめる回転展望閣や林間の散策路があり、さらに観光リフトで谷を渡ったところにはふんすいランド、サイクルモノレール等が設置された遊園地がある。

ブルーアワー（blue hour）は、夜明け前に数十分程体験できる薄明。レイリー散乱効果で優先される青色の日光が全半球の空を満たす。由来はフランス語のl'heure bleueである。
