I think I bought the same kit about 2 months ago. I put on some Remo Ambassadors and Evans G2s and they sound pretty good. Does the badge on your kit say Sound Percussion? I bought them as a practice kit that could be easily carried back and forth to unplugged jams.

im not gonna lie for a shitty set that actually sounds good, the playing sounds good and so does the set actually for how small it is, its tuned pretty well, besides the cymbals they sound like poop
