i think the bristish power in combat is right about correct cuz anyone in that era knew that figting the bristish in open field is suicide and Denmark actully had a bigger nation then russia or us becuz or well that was in the viking era they had all of scandinaven (norway and sweden) they had part of england (York) and Greenland and most germany and little of poland

As i myself is danish and live and breath danish history i know all u can search google or call a danish professor/teacher and they can tell that vikings was alot of tribes who rules Scandinavia which later on became split and became Norway Denmark Sweden but! Sweden was under direct control under Denmark until they became independent.

And somewhat the same with norway and with the German lands were later sold from a idiot of a king of ours lol and then WWII came and we lost more.

@bazzkoff Well Denmark did have Scania wich was conquered by Harold Bluetooth so they did own a little bit of Sweden but that was all.

@Goktak My point Is, other then the Kalmar Union1397–1523 swedes and goths were never under danish rule. And Sweden were not a part of Denmark, but in a union whit limited independence. And Stockholms bloodbath were a attempt to remove swedish nobles from power but it lead to open warfare. In unions the subjucated nation still have some independence, els it woudnt be a union but a annexation.

@tyskbulle Then u diden't look hard enough becuase Sweden was under control from both Norway and Denmark which had an alliance(Kalmar) then later Sweden and Denmark started war. And to answer you comment the Swedish nobels did not control sweden (The Stockholm Bloodbath) look that up.

During the Kalma Union Denmark was in control of both Norway and Sweden and in that time King Christian's executed almost all swedish nobles. Which means that Sweden no longer had independence at that time!

@Goktak Never read anywhere that the Swedes and the Goths were "under direct control by danes" In fact I know that these three factions fought itchother often. And Sweden had 200 years of independence before the Kalmar Union. And the union was weak and fragile whit swedish nobels still controlled the country.
