Please don't take this as a personal rebuke, but the American Academy of Pediatricians state that Baby Einstein and other TV programs impair a baby's learning. Unfortunately, Disney (who own B.E.) & the rest don't want anyone to know this. They dupe parents into thinking they can give babies an early start with these educational dvds.
Bear in mind that US kids have the lowest educational attainment in the developed world and watch the most TV. Could there be a connection?
I agree - why do people do this to babies? To stick them in front of TV is totally against what pediatricians advise.
How can Disney Corp (who own B.E.) fool 94% of U.S. parents into believing that this doesn't harm their baby's development?
How can people believe Disney instead of pediatricians? As for "parental instinct", well it wasn't so long ago that most parents thought it ok to smoke in the same room as their kids - occasionally...so much for instinct, duuurrrh!
