  • @AlaokDibar 1957's are better cars... the Packard engines were too heavy. Collectors prefer the Stude 289 with the Paxton superchargers.

  • The only thing worse than this ad theme would have been to use mimes. That Golden Hawk sure is a looker, though.

    No wonder Studebaker went broke!

  • The cars looked great but didn't sell well at all. The clowns in the ad didn't help, I would imagine.

  • Studebaker lost tons of money in 1956, as they had no money to develop truly new cars. Even the Lark of 1959 was based on this chassis with a shortened body.

  • Lovely cars, worked on several years ago -

  • "Pride of Craftsmanship" shown clearly on this ad. Why can't they make unique cars like this presently.
