Thanks for reminding me of why I prefer two wheels over four any day of the week - and why I passed my m/cycle test four years before my car test :D
-
I was tempted to say "Hi how are ya!" to every car I passed last time I did that and really rub it in. :-D

I love that feeling of blowing by all those cars like that.. Very cool video.
I too feel safer riding my tadpole trike for all the reasons mentioned over my road bike..Drivers don't like getting passed when I'm on it and take issue with that I believe.

Quite possibly a speed of 5000 cars/hour then!

Like other riders, I think recumbents are safer in traffic than an upright.
In this sort of situation, you can see drivers faces in their mirrors, which means they can see you. If they look, which most don't.

I agree with the preference for a recumbent in traffic. The unusual vehicle triggers monkey curiosity thus drawing the eye and causing little uncertainty and caution in drivers. If they're not looking they won't see you whatever you are riding and we've all been there.Occasionally being able to see over cars is handy but not nearly as often as I would have expected and I feel other benefits such as improved braking distance, low fall height, driver eye contact etc outweigh this small disadvantage.

Not sure I would feel comfortable on a recumberant in traffic,I think I will stick to a conventional road bike where I am higher than the cars, dont you get a smug feeling though when you are blowing away all the motorist lol

Awesome!!! Feels like London, even here we don't always get this much congestion.

Over 500 vehicles passed I reckon!
Think that must be the most traffic ever that I've seen in cycling video. Interesting glimpse of the future if car use increases.
Nah much much easier on recumbent in traffic. I get so much more space given to me by other road users.
