What goes on behind the scenes at a museum as an exhibition is put together? In fact what happens behind the scenes at a museum? Will Mather, works in Registration at the Australian National Maritime Museum in Sydney and gives us the briefest of glimpses into his world and his work on the museum's latest exhibition FISH IN AUSTRALIAN ART.

Beside the mounds of paperwork required for such a large loaned exhibition, forms, files, emails and faxes, there is the practical logistics and scheduling when over 50 artworks are being delivered.

FISH IN AUSTRALIAN ART is an unconventional look at Australian art exploring how fish have been a source of artistic inspiration from rock art to the contemporary.

Spanning centuries, art movements, and mediums Fish in Australian Art presents more than 170 works from well-known Australian artists such as Margaret Olley, William Dobell, Yvonne Koolmatrie, Rupert Bunny, Anne Zahalka, John Brack, Michael Leunig, John Olsen, Craig Walsh and others.
