the correct lyrics remind me of a girl I used to know. It was a very one sided relationship where I basically made all the effort and she messed me around. She made me believe we could have been together forever when she felt nothing. I found out and was mad for a long time, but like it says 'your lies weren't enough to keep me here'

@gentlemendestroy I feel the same way, but for a different reason: Unrequited love. I haven't met a lot of girls, but this one stood out, and made me feel wanted. I sent her a love letter for Valentine's Day, only to have her mother talk to me and tell me how her daughter feels.
Haven't heard a word yet from Michelle; needless to say, I feel pretty hopeless right now.

At first listen, this song seems sad, filled with a lot of sorrow... but then you begin to realize that it's about frustration and feeling hopeless. Eventually the hopelessness turns to uncaring and you move on. It's bitter, something I can definitely relate to with my last relationship. The one line that hits home is, "I thought I lost you, but you were never really ever there at all." My ex was extremely disconnected, no matter what I tried to do to help. very good song. But many of the lyrics in this song are wrong on this video post. Such as... i can fear you fallin. it's supposed to be "feel you falling" etc. there are also more... but anyways
