McCain offers a health care plan that is similar to Bush's proposal, which failed to expand coverage and cut health care costs. McCain endorsed Bush's plan to privatize Social Security—so much so he joined Bush on the campaign to sell the proposal. Although McCain previously opposed Bush's tax cuts for the wealthy he has made a "breathtaking turnaround" and supports these budget-busting, tax cuts for the wealthy.

yes of course helping those who cant help themselves is unamerican, while providing tax cuts to the wealthy and telling the poor to go to hell and providing a short term solution that in reality will only make the problem worse is patriotic. also there is nothing wrong with socialism or europe. if the us government had been more socialist as u call it we would not be in the situtation we are now.

We have implementing trickle-down, de-regulated, free-market BS, bubble-creating, Reaganomics on steroids for 28 yrs, providing that economic disaster. Do you appreciate your socialist highways, fire dept, police dept? Nice talking point, but, ask those "socialist" citizens if they'd give up their health system for ours. Drilling minimally benefits in 20 yrs. There are currently 30 mil. leased acres for drilling. The corp's wait until the "price is right." Why grant more treasures to sit on?
