this was in the movie though...guess they deleted it when it came to DVD and Blue-Ray.

The ending truly pissed me off in this film. No firebird. No emotion. No X-Men vs. Dark Phoenix. Only if Bryan Singer didn't waste his time on that godawful Superman Returns then maybe we would've had all them things.
