The scope looks like it's mounted on the rear part of the iron sight. On a mosin nagant it's on a hinge so you can raise and lower them.

@csmybuttt yea,

@Sooprazn Nothing at all, they are a great rifle, I love them, It just made me laugh.

@GerrettJihad Whats wrong with a Mosin Nagant?

firt thing came to mind: haha Mosin Nagant.

this is why people should buy the original sope and mount of the time period for the gun i just don't trust this new stuff with my old guns

@MavHunter20XX well im just gonna use a adapter... with red locktite (i already have weaver rings)
-
@pcblah On one of my vids I described what I had to do to ensure it didn't shift forward. My more current rifle I used a set that I had to tap on to the rail and I used a spare base pin to keep it on there.

@MavHunter20XX pu scope? i just want to put a weaver on that is not a adapter... (it would still move back) i would rather buy some 1" diameter dovetail rings for my current scope instead, and i would use some red locktite. (isnt a pu scope a mosin scope? or some type of russian scope idk)

@pcblah There are a bunch of dovetial to weaver adaptor products out there. Drilling and tapping is only worth it if you're going to try to mount a conventional scope over the receiver (such as a PU scope). I personally tried 3 different dovetail mountings with relative success. The key is to lock in at least one of the rings, or the adaptor to keep it from shifting forward on recoil.
put some red loctite on the fuckin screw and then you will be in business retard

I own this mount on my M91/30; the mount hinges on the pin where the rear sight tangent is normally, and there's a pair of set screws that are inside the rail you can use to tension the rail against the receiver. This guy either had no idea they were there or didn't tighten them enough. Loctite is always a good measure too. :)

@ScarletAvatar That makes sense. He turned his into a see-saw. lol. The next time I saw him at the range he had removed the scope completely- probably after I replayed the footage to him.
