EDIT: Haiz... I gave up with putting up the translations for the vids. For a new UMG, I will continue to translate to my best efforts. But for these old ones which YT always seem to screw up, I suppose I'll just leave it like that. I will put up a link to my old [meaning, the new translations based off the other translators are not there] translation script for this soon.
Now, lyrics are by Atashi. I trust her translations. :3

Well, finally got the video... And decided to upload something... It's been a while guys.

If you have been checking up on me, or is one of my friends in the real world, then you would know that I am currently crazing over Umineko, eden* and BLEACH. After the recent release of UMG 5, I've been going around YouTube, the Witch Hunt translation site, and many other places on the Internet to get the translations for this video. Some translations are also done by me, with reference to the videos from clevomon, Koishiteruyo and RisaKalimene, as well as help from my trusty multi-language e-dictionary.

Note: The translations are in annotations, so they might not all be up in one shot. Also, YouTube is currently going around putting advertisments on videos with high views, which also deletes away their annotations... One has recently got me, I deleted the advertisment as soon as I found out (though I think it is back up again), but I was lazy to put up the many annotations I worked an hour for... Anyway, I will work on the timing of the annotations when I have the chance. For now, please work with the suckish timing...

なかない君と嘆きの幻想 追憶編

Release: Comiket 76

Special thanks to val9798 for providing a useful download link to this video. Thousand thanks! ^^

:::TRANSLATION NOTES:::
( 'TN' in the video )

TN 1 -- The Witch's Epitaph. Translations taken from Witch Hunt (http://witch-hunt.com/epitaph.html). I decided to put the text on top of the words at the beginning (something which I tried to avoid throughout the video) as there was not enough space. However, you can see the original text if you turn off the annotations, or if you go to the Witch Hunt page above.

TN 2 -- Here also contains many other sentences. But due to the quality of the video, and my laziness, I decided not to find them.

TN 3 -- I know that this will be too fast for the eye to see. So here is what it was...
Brow was penetrated by the stake of Asmodeus.
Brow was penetrated by the stake of Beelzebub.
Brow was penetrated by the stake of Mammon.
Chest was gouged by the stake of Satan.
Stomach was gouged by the stake of Lucifer.
Knee was gouged by the stake of Belphegor.
Leg was gouged by the stake of Leviathan.

TN 4 -- There is a line behind Beatrice's head here... I didn't translate it because I haven't confirm what was to full line. Here is what I got so far: どうやら、これが本当の魔法というものう
The ど, と and the last う is unconfirmed... so anyone who knows, please inform me.

TN 5 -- I'm not sure if 'household' is the best word here... I've seen some translations that put it as 'family', which is also plausible. Debate is welcome for this part. ^^

TN 7 -- Debate is welcome here too. So far, I've only seen it being translated to 'Red Truth', but that more of applies to 赤の真実, doesn't it? When I used the Google Translator, it game me 'True Red' for 真実の赤, which is also plausible. However, it doesn't seem to have any connection with the storyline of Umineko, so I discarded it...

  • Nice. I only now noticed this one. You did a good job. ^o^ How did you make the annotation boxes blend in so well? I'd like to be able to make the changes to my vids, if that's okay. I promise to credit you!

  • Actually, I made a few references to your translation too... (it is quite obvious if you compare the two) I only made a few edits as time went by as I felt that some parts were wrong... But sure, feel free to use anything! ^^

  • Okay, so how did you go about making the annotation boxes blend in? You made them quasi-transparent most of the time.

  • Well, it will happen when you change the color... If you want it to be 'transparent', you use black. I just use the colors that seems to fit the text that it represents.

  • @nyuurocks The whole series is a reference to The Divine Comedy.

  • am i the only one who thinks Lucifer looks like Furude Rika from Higurashi?

  • were can i download this song

  • Krauss looks like skeletor while Natsuhi looks like JLo

  • Meh......yeah.ryukishi only got the inspiration for three characters, not the entire cast.

  • in layman's terms, can a visual novel based on somebody else's literature become a classic in it's own respect.

  • Could you rephrase,I don't nderstand the question.

  • oh =/ I guess so but just out of curiousity, do you think metaliterature such as this VN because it's foundation is from The divine comedy could become a classic on it's own merit?

  • I already knew Battler was a "Dante"Just thought he coul;d've made a reference besides his name >.>
