So I told the boys that I wanted to add "Uninvited" by Alanis Morissette to my set list this week. I had a vision... I saw piano, driving electric guitars, and my beautiful friend & amazing performer, Arikah Nash, dancing along with the music the way only she can. Again, this was our first time playing it together as the only rehearsals we can ever squeeze in are when we are all up on the stage for the actual performance... but I think the rawness of the moment really added to the electricity of the performance. But don't take my word for it, check it out and let me know what you think :-) Tim Baumgartner on guitar, Jeff Bradshaw on drums, Chris Janecek on bass, Amber Caparas on lead vocals/piano/electric guitar, and Arikah Nash on back ground vocals & interpretive dance.

Little back-story: I can remember being a 9 year old walking into the dollar theater to see 'City of Angels' for the first time and feeling so captivated by the music that by the end of the film the only thing I could think about was getting my hands on the Soundtrack. That was back when people still bought physical CD's and Millenium Music was still a thriving hangout spot in Charleston, SC, so my Dad, equally impressed by the music and always supportive of my love for music, helped me get my hands on the 'City of Angels Soundtrack' and let me tell you I wore out the poor repeat button listening to the final track ("Uninvited" by Alanis Morissette) more times than I can count. Her powerful vocals over that hauntingly beautiful piano & that piercing string drive.... man, I was hooked.
