Thanks! If we had done that we would have reduced the mass around the neck joint. This is a heavy beast, and sounds amazing. It is the best guitar I've played, and all the wee elements go together to make something special. Sculpting the back to suit the neck plate was an option, as was angling the neck plate to allow the body to be shaved rather than sculpted, but we decided to retain as much wood as we possibly could. The body is 52mm of solid mahogany. No compromises!

awesome guitar, very cool. the only thing i wouldve suggested is to sculpt the body around the neck plate so that the neck plate is level with the body.

15 years ago I started building the same way-- for my son,as he played better I built better. I still have a passion for building . great job and wonderful documentary

Thanks. My dad was amazed at the quality we achieved. The guitar he made for me is the best guitar I've ever played. I love it.
