For one thing, in the early 90's, we had a surplus. I received my late Elementary, Middle, High School, and College education here. You can't hold on to your green card forever!

@femaleasian1 Per bottle, even cheaper if you go out of the city. Don't know what the conversion rate is as of recent, but it doesn't cost more then 1200-2000won.
And no, Soju is not made of rice. They banned it back in the 60's due to rice shortage and they improvised with potatoes and it has been the same since.
Mak-Gul-Lee is made from rice.
