Teranga Orchestra - " GrOOvy Monkey"

Teranga Orchestra is a new combo but a project we've been working on since 2003 with musicians issued of different musical and life influences . On stage, Teranga Orchestra gives an incredible energy and invites to a world trip. Teranga Orchestra or the pleasure to play in a permanent connexion with an "all over the world music and culture sharing". In Senegal, West Africa, teranga means "welcome" for the wolof people. So, Teranga Orchestra can invite other musicians. It happened already , throughout the lyrics and music Teranga Orchestra plays, with Thierry Boecasse ( Kora - French Guyana), Ousmane Gangué (voc -Mauritania), Ulysses Piedra (voc & guitare - Peru), Kemsé Kanté ( voc, bolon & djembe- Guinea), Luiz Antonio (voc - Brazil), Lia Barcellos (lyrics - Brazil), Ramah (voc - Senegal),Claude "Papy" Bantone (guitare - Congo), Moh.G (voc -France - Algeria), Eric Starczan ( guitare - France) or Baba Gallé Kanté( peul flute - Ivory Coast)... Teranga Orchestra est une nouvelle formation, mais le projet existe de puis 2003 avec des musiciens issus de cultures et d'influences diverses qui aiment à se retrouver autour de compositions personnelles. Sur scène Teranga Orchestra dispense une incroyable énergie et invite à voyage autour du monde. Avec Teranga Orchestra les cinq continents sont réunis dans une même mesure, c'est le plaisir de jouer en connection permanente avec les musiques du monde et le partage des cultures. Au Sénégal, chez le peuple wolof, teranga signifie terre d'accueil.
