Skyrim XBOX 360 textures hard drive installed vs game disc only

Important, must read.

This is a little experiment I conducted to see if the tales about the textures on Skyrim are any different if you have the game installed to the HDD or not.

One of the Skyrim devs said on twitter that there was no difference so I made this video.

I did this on a retail copy with the day 1 patch installed after clearing my system cache.

You can clearly see more texture on my character's hand when the game isn't installed to the HDD.

This is the second time I conducted the experiment. The first time I conducted it I found that when the game was installed to the HDD both the leather armour texture AND my character's hand were really low res yet looked much better without the game installed. The second time, as seen in this video, it was just the hand that looked better without the install.

Update: I did this a few more times outdoors and indoors and I consistently experienced lower res textures when playing off the HDD.

I'm begging for an answer. I'll only buy xbox slim 4gb(rly cheap right now) for skyrim. Will it be enough with space to play it without any problems?

@4ltGame What am I, tech support? I don't know. With a 4gb slim you won't be able to install the game to the hard drive but as you can see the game runs fine off the disc.

anybody know how to download the 3.1 patch on xbox live, im on xbox live and i've not had the option come up to update the game which i have had before with other games. was wondering if there's a way to do it manualy? doing my tit's in big time the only game i want an update for and i cant get it. ready to bounce this shity xbox and getting to be shity game off the wall!!! thanks for any help.

I tried removing from hard drive and it didn't work, graphics relay bad inside building's mostly but some of the clothes are the worst, relay bad no detail just relay blurry. gutted!! hope they fix it fast hate playing a game like this knowing it could be better.
