Just like other videos I recorded of Nauvoo, I recorded this one to give others the perspective of how things are laid out in Nauvoo. I am not a good camera man, but I thought it would be fun to show Nauvoo to people who may not have the opportunity to go or to people who don't want to endure the humidity. The statue of Joseph and Hyrum depicts the moment when they rode their horses to Carthage jail where they were murdered by a cowardly mob. Joseph Smith said while looking back at the town the Saints built up, "This is the loveliest place and the best people under the heavens; little do they know the trials that await them."
