  • Cooley was a Real MC!!!!! "If I was any fresher, I'd be Ivory Soap!" That N*gga was my mutha f*cka back in day! Carson Cable Monday night Fresh 4 Real!

  • @clarendon101 @clarendon101

i agree that 3 times fresh , would have been a better title, but , the knights of the turntable are the originators of this all, anyways,

i grew up watching lil rocking gee cooly d, rmg, seabrez, and sinbad at big johns hall and samerika hall, and i consider them a mayor influence in my hip hop life.

i apologize about the title mix up if offended you, my goal was to do nothing but share some real hip hop.

    frank.. dj tricks.

  • Great footage, much respect from real uk hip hop heads

  • HAHAHAHAH! This is bring back memories! The Knights live on! :)~

  • Where can I hear your stuff?

By the way, do you know Stig of the Dump? He's a brilliant MC from your neck of the woods.

Oh, and I pressed the 'e' key by accident, when typing Rick Rubin.

  • @bugstrut

    Thanks for that.

Long time ago now though :)

I always liked the Knights of the Turntables, it was so hard to buy the music in those days, in Newcastle (UK) - only 2 shops sold hip hop / electro and really only 1 sold the good stuff.

I loved it so much when I was a kid.

I ended up making music which Chuck D put on his web label - if you'd told me that was going to happen to me, I'd never have believed you.

  • @craigfromnewcastle Yeah, apparently Ad Rock was listening to Demo tapes, for Rick Rubein, and he heard LL's tape, and suggested Def Jam sign him.

  • @bugstrut

I must have got it mixed up then, I'm getting old you know? :)

I think Chuck said he respected LL very much, for some reason I thought he said he'd discovered him.

Oh well, thanks for correcting me.

  • @SpunkyBlunderbus Chuck-D discovered LL? No he didn't, Ad Rock did. He also produced 'I need a beat' for him. Ad Rock is actually one of the most underrated producers in Hip hop.
