  • Not only the bridal chorus, but also the prelude of the third act...Großartig!

  • A lot of people hate jews. A lot of people hate christians. God knows, muslims hate buddhists. Hindus certainly dont get along with all people. I dont get how any this commentary below has to do anything with Wagner or his music.

  • This was composed in a time when Europe had spirit. Now we are drowning in shit. And we know it. We have decided that because of the Nazis nationalism is also bad, because it can lead to Nazism. Tradition is bad, culture is bad, pride is bad, any assertion of national or European values is bad. Go figure. We don't even bother to have children any more. We are dying out. We have to do something soon, or one day we will have new Nazis, once we are ruined and desperate.

  • @helmuthoorn which is why there is no wagner in modern-day germany. there are only the turks who boo their own team when turkey comes to play in germany. and there is the terror of anything that smells of tradition and nationalism because as we all know, we are just millimeters away from turning into nazis again. oh, germany, what will become of you in a few decades?

  • @zlinn71

antisemitism exists since always, given the natural fact that persons tend not to like what is not likable, just like this people are. Hypocrisy, crimes through history, invasions of lands, lies, not openness to other cultures ... make any group of people not likable. That's natural. Am I antisemitic? I try not to be; I'm antisionist.

  • @dickkind24

can anyone help me on finding its lyrics on the web? thanks in advance! (I just can't get it on my self, given the fact that i'm not a native speaker nor I can understand a single verse of its lyrics here to type it on Google).

  • The intro illustrates the amazing energetic spirit of XIXth century Germany.

    Steam trains moving rapidly forwards.

    Ships launched from their yards.

    Factory chimneys raking the skies.

And a thundering cavalery charge supported by a massive artillery barrage in the Franco-Prussian war..

  • Another example of music being above crap things: the "Mormon" tabernacle choir has a great version (the best one for me) of this bridal chorus. In fact, this is the one I'm looking for here on Y.tube. Just have it on vinyl, plate... And the Mormons are a cult, but have a nice chorus; so what the fu*k?

  • This man, just like any other intelligent men not-brainawashed by Jew parents since birth, was a antissemitic, alright. Get a life; music is above all this crap thing (this crap thing is the Jews).

  • @sevpra Well of course he could be anti-Semitic, and he was. One well known example was his comments as a music critic toward Mendelssohn, a Jew by birth, but not by practice.
