Sarodiya Tejendra Majumdar of the Maihar gharana accompanied by Yogesh Samsi on tabla. Raag Jaijaivanti, gat in jhaptaal. (This clip lags a little bit)
I'm writing an essay on performance in Northern Indian Classical music regarding the etiqutte of performance, who the audience is, the relationship between soloist and accompanist, what the performers wear, what they might say before and after the concert, and how this has all changed since traditional performances etc... is there anyone that can help me with this?? any information regarding performance would be much appreciated.
Yeah, like someone else said, it's actually "Pandit", not "Ustad". Mr. Majumdar is a Hindu.
