Because their language has different rhythm, and stress patterns than the ones in English. It is also a perceptual thing. You may perceive them speaking fast. Not that it is bad on your part. It is just that their language is spoken differently. Have you heard Spanish? It will feel like a train on steroids. Crazy fast.
