A Southwest Airlines Boeing 737 planes one of the right landing gear- right rear tire caught on fire shortly after landing on May 12th around 7:45pm.
It was Southwest Flight 519 that landed at Houston's Hobby Airport, which departed New Orleans at 6:44pm CT with 47 passengers and five crew members headed to Houston.
The flight was scheduled to land at 7:49pm and actually landed around 7:45pm.

Sorry for posting the video late. YouTube was on maintenance yesterday when it occurred, could not upload that time.

  • No one comments on the IDIOT who drops his brief case, the papers fall out and all he is worried about is picking up the papers instead of getting his ass far away from a plane that is partially on fire? Thank God there weren't that many people on the plane. All these retards had bags with them going down the slide.

  • So much for "leave everything behind." I also wonder why they waited so long to evacuate.

  • I just want to know why it took about 2:30 before either the evacuation started or the fire fighters got there. thats waaay too slow

  • @openwidesky LOL thats a good one

  • @datboi448 really?

  • Must have been the DIVORCE papers. Can't lose those!

  • no kidding. ive landed on southwest in tailwinds before just to save a minute and a half of flying time. friggin ridiculous

  • WHEW IM ON TV

  • And the sparks fly!!!!

  • OMG! I'm gonna die I'm gonna die! No wait, lemmie get my papers! Are you kidding me?

  • They actually didn't wait as long to evacuate as it appeared...the cameraman is an idiot. First he completely missed the touchdown of the aircraft by zooming too far out, then he missed the popping of the chutes and evacuation by zooming too far in. Almost the entire aircraft was empty before he zoomed out enough to see it happening.
