God this route is so amazing! Beautiful! I love it!

Went on that last year. Spent a night at the Grand Imperial at Silverton and travelled back on the train and it snowed. What a great trip. Highly recomended.

@riogrande45 since you work there, a quick question for you. How many ppl come to the D&SNGRR because of C.W. McCall?
-

@dcoursey82 They have a lot of different whistles they rotate through, so it's hard to tell. A lot of them are really good too.
-
@CoasterFan2105 It's possible, I'm no whistle expert by any means...just thought it sounded like a Rock Island 5'er. Whichever whistle it is, it still sounds wonderful...definitely ranks a close second behind a Grand Trunk Western 5'er.
-
@dcoursey82Are you sure thats not just a DRGW 5 chime?
-
@CaptainPoovabladoo They do operate 315 on this line, just not every day.
From 2:21 - 4:00, is that a Rock Island 5-chime being used on that engine? It sounds awesome!!

I was expecting the typical tourist video of someone filming FROM the train. What we have here is someone on the ground filming the train as it goes by various locations. I loved it! The sound of the train and the whistle blowing as it goes by is very cool.
