The GeometricTransformations

Many times in mathematics and in geometry in particular, visualization of the concepts that are being taught is difficult for students. This problem can be avoided with the use of a tool such as Geometers Sketchpad. One of the best attributes of this program is that it is not a drill and practice program, but instead it requires the students further develop their understanding of mathematical concepts. This lesson was designed to help make the concepts of translations, rotations, and reflections clearer because students were able visualized and manipulate virtual objects in the plane.
