  • Michael Kamens score to this relatively unknown movie back in 86 was so captivating. I personally vaguely heard of the movie until my roommate in college played it for me me in 1990. I was Instantly a fan of not only the movie but the soundtrack as well (Queen and Kamen) Even today this particular scene touches me,the whole training montage. It brings me to tears.

I wish this movie had more advertising back then, but I believe it still has a great fan base - enough to spark a TV series.

  • @Mahlercougar you want ot know something I remember advertising for this movie, vaguely in 86', but they played up the soundtrack by Queen. It was in the theaters for five minutes and then gone. It wasnt until it went on video that it caught a cult following. The first time i saw Highlander was in 87 and the music literally captivated me,along with Queen. Too bad all the sequels sucked.

  • this is the version from "The Fantasy Album", played by the Czech orchestra.. I loved it from the first time I ever heard it:it was on tv, as score to a documentary of wales and orcas in the sea of Alaska. Of course I recognized it as the Highlander soundtrack, but this particular version is pure beauty. Thank you for loading it.
