@industrialsun ."what did it mean in the long fun?". umm what long run? its the playoffs, u lose ur out and Detroit lost. Winning 4 cups since then doesn't make choking to the #8 seed ok.

1994 San Jose (#8 team) defeats Detroit (# 1 team) in 1st round. San Jose would do the same thing in 2000 against St Louis. What did it mean in the long run? Nothing. Red Wings would win 4 Cups in 6 appearances in Finals over next 15 years, Sharks have never been to a Cup Final, and Blues still have not yet won a Cup.
