Dog Fight seen from my house.

F-15's fight against F-16's over the Elgin MOA. Call Sign for the 15- HOSS & RAMBO, the 16 was MIG.

On a clear day, seeing this isn't all that rare, I just finally decided to shoot one since they were up there longer and the contrails lasted longer. You just need to know when to look and have a scanner to know if they'll do it. The only times you can see it is if they are using the Elgin and Caliente MOA's since its the closest one to Vegas. This isn't the whole exercise, most of it was cut out.

dude those houses look familiar are those the granda ridge houses near the aliante community or what? its weird that u saw this and i never see any dogfights going on in my area and i live on north decatur and 215. i hear the jets pass but never see a dogfight going on

No my place is just east of Aliante. Near Commerce and Centennial PKWY. You just need to know when to look. Sometimes if you look between 6-7AM, contrails can be visible from the morning fights. Just last week around 6:30AM I saw them again. IF you ever hear them real early, wait about 30-40 minutes then look north east. Only if conditions are right will you see it.

Sometimes you can see flares during the night exercises. Though, that's more by chance. Ive seen flares about 6 times from my place, and Ive lived hear almost 4yrs now.

Negative, this was training for their airshow at Nellis, maybe this is the airshow. They did it at high flight for training purposes. But nice footage!
